He completed his Master's degree in psychology at Kharazmi University and received his Bachelor's degree in clinical psychology at Allameh Tabatabai University. He has pursued extensive training in "psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy" both in Tehran and in Toronto at Toronto Institute For Contemporary Psychoanalysis (TICP) and Toronto Psychoanalytic Society & Institute (TPS&I).
