We ask for your real name for your own account and clinical records. This is also the professional name your public therapist profile starts with — you can review it in your application.

What appears on your public therapist profile

Your profile stays private while it is a draft or awaiting review, and only goes live once our team approves it. Nothing you enter on this page is published.

Shown publicly

  • Professional name, credentials and title (never your legal name)
  • Bio and personal quote, plus your profile photo
  • Areas of focus, approaches, languages and session types
  • Session fee and session length options
  • Practice location and the jurisdictions you are licensed in
  • Regulatory college, licence number and years of experience
  • Insurance plans you accept

Kept private

  • Your legal first and last name
  • Your email address and phone number
  • Your availability, blocked dates and video session links
  • Your in-person practice address (shown only to a client booked there)
  • Licence and certificate files you upload, and your payment records

You choose those public details, including the professional name clients see, in your therapist application, which opens as the next step.

The agreement a MENDSKY therapist accepts, in the version in effect since August 7, 2026.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using MENDSKY, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Our services

MENDSKY provides an online marketplace connecting clients with licensed therapists for psychotherapy sessions. We facilitate the connection and platform; therapy itself is provided by independent, licensed clinicians.

Client responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, to use the platform lawfully, and to treat therapists and staff with respect. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Therapist relationship

Therapists on MENDSKY are independent professionals, not employees or agents of MENDSKY. The therapeutic relationship is between you and your therapist, governed by their professional standards and licensing.

Sessions and scheduling

Sessions are scheduled through the platform. Cancellations made with at least 24 hours' notice will not be charged. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged at the therapist's full rate.

Fees and payments

Session fees are set by each therapist and displayed on their profile. Payments are processed securely through the platform. Gift cards hold value and do not expire.

No emergency service

MENDSKY is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on MENDSKY for urgent care.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MENDSKY is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or the therapy services provided through it.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may close your account at any time. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred before termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MENDSKY operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
