Helping make therapy more accessible
MENDSKY allocates a portion of its commission from completed, paid sessions to help fund therapy for people who cannot afford it. There is no additional charge to clients, and therapists' agreed fees are not reduced.
The Care Access Program is not running at the moment. MENDSKY will publish how it works here before it opens.
MENDSKY is not a registered charity. Allocations come from MENDSKY's own revenue and are not charitable donations made by clients.
How it works
A session takes place
After an eligible paid session is completed, MENDSKY allocates a portion of its commission to the Care Access Program.
Contributions come together
These amounts are pooled to help cover the cost of sessions with participating therapists.
Support reaches people who need it
Approved applicants receive funded sessions based on financial need, available funding, therapist availability, and suitability of care.
See your contribution
In your client dashboard, you can see how much MENDSKY has allocated from its commission on your sessions, alongside the program's overall impact.
Need help covering session costs?
You can apply for support through the Care Access Program. Applications are reviewed privately. Funding is limited, and submitting a request does not guarantee approval.

For therapists
Therapists can choose to provide sessions at an agreed rate funded by the program or contribute sessions voluntarily. Participation is optional.
Expressing interest does not activate your participation and does not commit you to anything. MENDSKY records your agreement, and its terms, before any funded appointment is made with you.
Privacy and transparency
We share aggregate program results without identifying people receiving support. Allocations come from MENDSKY's own revenue and are not charitable donations made by clients.
The program so far
MENDSKY will publish the program's results here once there is enough activity for the figures to say something without identifying anyone. No figure is shown before then.
Frequently asked questions
- Do clients pay anything extra?
- No. Nothing is added to a session fee, and no client is asked to contribute.
- Does taking part reduce a therapist's agreed fee?
- No. A therapist's agreed fee is unchanged. Where a therapist provides a funded session, MENDSKY pays the agreed amount for it, and some therapists also give sessions voluntarily.
- Can contribution points be redeemed?
- No. Contribution points are a record of what MENDSKY has allocated from its own revenue. They have no cash or redemption value, cannot be transferred, and are not a charitable donation receipt.
- Does the program guarantee funding?
- No. Funding is limited and submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
- Do I need to have purchased sessions or referred someone?
- No. A prior paid session, a referral, a review or a testimonial is never required to apply.
- Is this the same as the free first session or sliding scale?
- No. These are separate programs. The free first session and sliding-scale arrangements are unaffected by Care Access, and support received through Care Access does not use up either of them.
MENDSKY does not provide emergency care. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in Canada) or go to the nearest emergency department. Messages sent through MENDSKY are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent help.
