MENDSKY is an online service that connects users (“Clients”) with independent mental health professionals (“Counselors”) for consultation services.

We do not provide medical or psychological services directly.

2. No Medical Advice

The services provided through the platform are for informational and support purposes only.

  • We do not guarantee medical outcomes
  • We do not provide emergency services
  • In case of emergency, contact local emergency services immediately

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

4. Counselor Relationship

Counselors are independent professionals, not employees of the platform.

  • The platform does not control counselor services
  • The platform is not responsible for advice given by counselors
  • Clients are responsible for choosing their counselor

5. Payments and Fees

  • All payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g., Stripe)
  • Fees are set by counselors
  • The platform may charge a commission

6. Booking and Cancellation

  • Sessions must be scheduled in advance
  • Cancellation and refund policies may vary by counselor
  • Missed sessions may not be refunded

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the platform for illegal activities
  • Harass or abuse counselors or other users
  • Share false or misleading information
  • Attempt to bypass payment systems

8. Confidentiality

While we respect user privacy:

  • The platform cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality
  • Users should avoid sharing highly sensitive information unless comfortable

Counselors are expected to follow professional confidentiality standards.

9. Platform Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform.

Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the platform
  • We are not responsible for counselor conduct or outcomes

11. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Remove users who violate these terms

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

14. Therapist Jurisdiction and Client Location

These Therapists on MENDSKY may only provide services in jurisdictions where they are licensed, registered, or otherwise authorized to practise. Clients may be asked to confirm their physical location at the time of each session. MENDSKY may restrict, cancel, or decline bookings where the therapist’s authorization does not match the client’s location.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate location information. Therapists are responsible for complying with their professional, legal, and regulatory obligations.
